At least 14 reported dead after gunman opens fire in San Bernardino

Authorities said as many as three shooters, heavily armed and possibly wearing body armor, opened fire in the 11 a.m. assault. Another 14 people were wounded before the killers fled, possibly in a black SUV.

Four hours later, a wild gunfight in the streets of San Bernardino left a dark-colored SUV — all its windows shot out and its tires flat — stopped in the middle of a street, surrounded by scores of cops.
The body of a man, a long rifle alongside him, was visible in the street from local media helicopter shots of the scene. Police radio chatter indicated a second man, armed and wounded, was inside the SUV.
